School: St Joseph secondary mbirizi
Class S1
Sex: Male
Age: 17 Years Old

Ambitions: wants to become an accountant

Robert is enjoying his studies and tries to be at school in time. Robert says- he is not a very good performer but he likes competing in academics. This is very encouraging because we would be assured of a good perfomance as he keeps on pressing. His family is ok and the mother though she is still struggling with the needs and necessities of her family given the fact that she is the head of this family. And at this point she added, 'I am so greatful to God for with out Him, my family would be in terrible missery given the make of our background'. Robert still upholds his goal of becoming a doctor when he grows up, and he is a good footballer.

93 Ssebatta Derick

2012
School: Jane Francis Sec Kirimya
Class S1
Sex: Male
Age: 16 Years Old

Ambitions: Wants to become a extensive rich farmer

Other Information: March 09 He is well and attending school. Though his grandmother is still having a persistent pain in her legs which she says has taken away much of her joy since she has been on treatment for a long time now but could hardly see any change. And she added, that she is begining to become alot more frustrated than ever. But good enough- she can still show great trust in God even amidst this pain and hard time. Derick's grand dad is well, and the rest of the family members. All of his brothers and sisters were transfered to other classes at the beginning of this year.Derick is becoming more active in his daily life compared to the initial time. He actively involves him self in lots of activities at school. As communicated some time ago that Derick used to travel 2 miles to and from school, they have recently changed to a place which is very near to the school. A relative who had abundoned his house in Kyetume town, recently had to ask them to occupy it and take care of it. And so they only need to travel back to their old property for food since they have some land on which they grow food for home consumption. So every weekends and holidays, Derick, his sisters and brothers have an obligation of going there to dig and grow lots of food crops with out fail, and am sure this has made these children to be molded into hardworking ones. In fact Derick says; he is now very good at preparing a garden for crop growing and can accurately work out the periods of planting, prunning and harvesting his crops.I find this amazing for a boy of his age.
